By cutting out all these unnecessary costs, they can offer high quality eyewear made with premium Italian acetate and reinforced hinges for prices that are much more affordable.
Another way this company is trying to assist their consumers is by offering replacement services for glasses that are accidentally broken. You can send your broken frames back to the company and they will replace them for just $25. They say they don't believe it is fair for eyewear companies to make huge profits off of these accidents.
Like other website based optical boutiques such as WarbyParker.com, ClassicSpecs.com offers a home try on service. This allows you to pick out six frames that you'd like to try on and they will be shipped to you for free. You then have seven days to try the frames before returning them.
When you decide which frames you want to purchase, go online to order them and then pack up your five sample frames and ship them back to Classic Specs for free. If you are unhappy with your frames for any reason, you have 30 days to return them and receive a refund.

I ordered two pairs of frames in different colours and styles and got exactly what I'd ordered within 10 days. I have emailed them with a separate query and received no reply and also wonder why they still have a winter sale on and their prices do seem a bit too good to be true but I am very pleased with the frames thus far. Obviously quality is proven over time and I've only had them for a couple of weeks but so far so good!
I ordered three different pairs of prescription frames - I got three sets of the same frames, none of which were what I ordered, and they had no lenses. Worse to come - they have replied to several phone calls, messages, emails, and facebook posting. This company used to be good - I have used them in the past. I'm wondering if they are now running an exit scam.
Very bad online system and no phone
I was psyched to try the company out after seeing all the great reviews and good looking frames, but since the store went fully online, I have encountered nothing but problems. I couldn't get past the "Place Order" stage of ordering, no matter what frame I chose or what browser I used, and customer service could give me no convincing explanation as to why an online business was unable to process a simple online order. Suspicious. I got an email from "Hannah," who claimed to "lead Customer Experience" at the company, and also stated "I have answers (try me!). I'm also happy to chat over the phone, if that works for you." And yet the company has no working phone system anymore. Would you trust a company that does business like this?
